How to Install libixp software package in Debian 8 (Jessie)

libixp software package provides transitional dummy package for libixp-dev, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install libixp 

libixp is installed in your system.

Make ensure the libixp package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libixp *

You will get with libixp package name, version, architecture and description in a table
